Trip Sign-Ups

Overview

  • 1. {e-mail notice} Twice per semester, you will receive notice that a new wave of trips has been announced including an overview of upcoming trips and details on release time.
  • 2. {sign-up} When the wave is released, find trips that look interesting, & sign-up on our website. Follow through and do it quickly, as some trips fill up fast.
  • 3. {go hike!} Enjoy a great trip with a great professor – and remember your waivers.

1. {e-mail notice}

  • We lead around 40-60 trips each semester – these will be released in two groups, or “waves”
  • The first wave will be announced around the 2nd week of school; the second wave will be announced a month later
  • You will receive an email announcement a few days before the wave is released – this will let you know the date and time the trips will be released by email, so that you can prepare to sign-up

2. {sign-up}

  • The wave of trips will be released at the date and time mentioned in the announcement
  • Browse the available trips to find those that seem most interesting (only pick ones that you can actually attend).
  • Sign-up links will take you to the trip’s page on our website, where you can then choose either “STANDARD” or “DRIVER” (based, of course, on whether you have a car and could take people).
  • Follow through and sign-up quickly to ensure you snag a spot! Enter contact info, click “Continue”, and then enter credit/debit card info, in order to claim your spot
  • If there are no Standard or Driver’s tickets remaining:
    • Don’t panic.
    • We have a WAITLIST ticket option.
    • We will notify you by the Friday before each trip if spots become available. Generally, we will only email you if a spot opens. If you want further info on the size of the waitlist or the chances of getting off it, just shoot us an email.

3. {go hike!}

  • You will receive a confirmation email with a your ticket type (Standard/Driver’s/Waitlist), and links to the General and Travel waivers. If you received a spot (Standard or Driver’s), please print and sign these, and bring them with you on trip day
  • If on the trip, you will receive a final email closer to the trip date from your Trip Lead, with all the information you will need for the trip: where to meet, who is driving, what to bring, and how long we’ll be gone
  • Go hiking! Woo!
